We offer a variety of fiber for felting, spinning, weaving, and more.
Bergschaf Carded Wool Batts
Bergschaf wool comes from hardy mountain sheep in the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. It has a medium to coarse fiber (around 30–36 microns) with a natural springy texture and a wide range of natural colors, from white and gray to rich browns. Because of its durability and strong crimp, it felts quickly and firmly, making it ideal for 3D felting projects such as slippers, bags, hats, and sculptural work. While not as soft as fine wools like merino, Bergschaf spins into a sturdy, rustic yarn well-suited for outerwear, rugs, and weaving. It’s valued for its strength, ease of felting, and natural character.
Māori Wool Batts
Māori Wool Batts are made from a blend of carded New Zealand wools with an average fiber diameter of about 27 microns. The fibers are medium-fine, airy, and easy to work with, making them excellent for both beginners and experienced felters. Because they come as batts rather than tops, the fibers are multidirectional, which helps them felt quickly and evenly. Māori wool is especially popular for needle felting, wet felting, and surface design work, producing a smooth, consistent finish. It can also be spun into a soft, durable yarn with good body. Available in a wide range of colors, it’s a versatile choice for everything from flat work to sculptural projects.
Extra Fine Merino Wool Tops
Extra Fine Merino Wool Tops are made from luxuriously soft 19–20 micron Merino fibers. The long, even fibers have a gentle crimp, making them easy to draft, spin, and blend. They produce smooth, fine yarns with excellent drape and stitch definition, ideal for garments and accessories worn next to the skin. These tops are also excellent for wet felting, fine needle felting, and nuno felting, creating a soft, elegant finish. Available in a wide range of colors, Extra Fine Merino Tops are perfect for spinners and felters seeking soft, high-quality fiber for refined projects.
Corriedale Wool Tops
Corriedale wool tops come from the Corriedale sheep, a crossbreed originally developed in New Zealand and Australia. The fibers average 25–30 microns, making them soft yet strong, with a nice balance between durability and comfort. Corriedale has a long staple length and a gentle, even crimp, which makes it easy to spin into smooth, lofty yarns with good stitch definition. In felting, it bonds well and produces a firm but slightly softer finish than coarser wools, making it a great choice for both 2D and 3D projects. Its versatility makes it popular for spinning garments, accessories, and for felting projects where a balance of softness and structure is desired.
Extra Fine Merino Wool Batts
Extra Fine Merino Wool Batts are made from 19-micron Merino fibers that are luxuriously soft, lightweight, and smooth. The fibers are carded into airy batts, which makes them easy to layer and felt evenly. Because of their fineness, they are perfect for projects worn next to the skin, as well as for creating delicate, detailed felted work. These batts are ideal for both wet and needle felting, producing a refined, soft finish, and can also be spun into beautiful fine yarns with excellent drape. Available in a wide palette of vibrant colors, Extra Fine Merino Batts are a favorite for felting garments, accessories, and artistic creations that call for softness and elegance.
