About the event
This beginner-friendly class offers an introduction to the beautifully designed eggs, where we will use traditional techniques and designs specific to the Lemko ethnic group, which spans parts of Poland, Ukraine, and Slovakia. Lemko-style eggs typically feature geometric shapes, stylized flora and fauna, religious symbols, and other motifs specific to the Lemko culture. These eggs hold cultural significance, often exchanged as gifts during celebrations such as Easter or as tokens of goodwill and protection. In this favorite Mi Craft House workshop you will learn the wax-resist dyeing technique and use a stylus type tool to apply heated beeswax to the egg. All supplies and tools are included to use during our workshop.
