Felted Witch Fairy or Woman at Straight Farmhouse Museum
Make your own needle felted character. She can be a witch, fairy, or woman - with your choice of colors, skin tones, and hair styles. Each character will include a handmade broom, simple or decorated with herbs and flowers. Take home extra wool and felting needles to make small details at home.

About the event
In this workshop, we’ll be making a needle felted character — she can be a witch, fairy, or woman depending on your imagination. You’ll have the option to keep her in classic black like the workshop sample, or choose from an array of natural and vibrant wool colors. You can also select her skin tone and hair color to make her uniquely yours.
We’ll all make a broom from natural materials to go with our characters. You can keep it simple like the sample photo, or add herbs and flowers for a magical, personalized touch. You’ll also choose whether to attach your character to a natural stone base for display, or take her home unattached to display in your own way (small wooden stands, shadow boxes, or hanging displays all work beautifully).
